Kingower Cricket Club has always been female inclusive. The junior team is a mix of male and female players (as are other Upper Loddon Cricket Association (ULCA) junior teams). The junior format is an Under 17 competition where there are male and female players ranging from 8 years old to 17 years old playing in the same team. If it wasn't for the inclusion of females in the team, many clubs, including Kingower might not be able to field teams. Kingower can also boast the first female captain of a team in the ULCA. Kingower has had indigenous players in the junior team in recent years, who have moved on but we certainly accept any one who wants to give cricket a go from any background. All abilities are accepted at Kingower if it means the player is getting to play cricket. 

Kingower is not a club focussed on turning out champion players rather a club focussed on providing an opportunity for everyone to give cricket a go in a safe and family friendly environment. The pride of the club is how many junior players go on to play senior cricket with the club. This was shown with the ULCA senior premiership win this season (2019/20) where 7 of the 12 players have played in the juniors. 

Kingower is set in a very unique setting being totally surrounded by bush giving a literal meaning to bush cricket. The club has many volunteers mostly parents who help out to score, coach, make morning teas and drive players to and from training and games.

Replacing the centre wicket and practice pitch synthetic carpet as well as repairing our practice area, is essential in providing a safe and friendly environment for our players. The works around the centre pitch, will enable water to runoff the ground instead of pooling on the pitch and will allow for more game play when it does rain. It will also reduce potential water damage to the carpet on the centre pitch which will last longer.
