I have a dream of a 10 year campaign including two Youth World Championships, Open World Championships, Pro Tour events and an Olympic journey including Paris 2024, LA 2028, and Brisbane 2032.

I AM REPRESENTING AUSTRALIA AT THE 2023 U21 SAILING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ITALY IN JULY 2023.

MY DISCIPLINE IS OLYMPIC KITE FOIL RACING.

How did I get here?

In 2022, I embarked on a thrilling adventure to the Netherlands to participate in the World Sailing Youth Worlds in Den Hague. This was a dream come true for me, as I had been working tirelessly to reach this level of competition. I spent countless hours training, practicing and competing in local and regional regattas to build up my skills and experience.

When I arrived in the Netherlands, I was struck by the beauty of the country and the excitement of the event. The World Sailing Youth Worlds is one of the most prestigious sailing events in the world, and it attracts the best youth sailors from all over the globe. I was surrounded by talented and dedicated sailors, all with the same goal of winning.

Throughout the competition, I pushed myself to my limits, battling it out with the other sailors and trying to stay focused and competitive. I sailed in challenging conditions, with light winds and strong tides and had to make quick decisions on the fly to stay ahead of the competition.

Despite the tough competition, I performed admirably and finished with a result of 14th place. This was a solid performance for my first time at the Sailing Youth Worlds, and I was proud of my accomplishment. However, I know that is still room for improvement, and that I want to continue competing at the highest level.

Looking ahead, I have my sights set on two major regattas in 2023 being held in Palma De Mallorca and Hyeres in France. These are both highly competitive events, and I know that these will be tough challenges. I have been determined to train hard every-since I returned home and have prepare myself as best as I can, in order to give myself the best chance of success. Training has included a month training camp in Perth as well as training regattas and camps in Melbourne.

In addition, I am also planning on returning to Italy later in the year to compete for the U21 World Championships. This is another big event on my schedule, and I know that it would require significant resources and effort to make it happen. This event will also be the first overseas event for my brother Jake who is up and coming in the sport.

As a young athlete, I do not want to rely solely on my parents to cover the costs of my travel, training and equipment. The expenses associated with competitive sailing can quickly add up, and without outside support, it can be difficult to continue pursuing my dreams.

Donations from supporters would be incredibly helpful in covering the costs of travel, accommodations, equipment and other expenses associated with the upcoming regattas. This would allow me to focus on my training and competition, without worrying about the financial burden of the sport.

In summary, my journey to the World Sailing Youth Worlds in Den Hague was an incredible experience, and it has inspired me to continue competing at the highest level. My upcoming regattas in Palma De Mallorca and Hyeres, as well as the U21 World Championships in Italy, represent significant challenges, but with hard work and determination, I am confident that I can perform at my best. Donations from generous supporters would be greatly appreciated and would help me to continue pursuing my passion for competitive sailing.
