Hi my name is Lachlan Nicholls and I am very excited to have been selected as a UniRoo to attend the FISU Modern Pentathlon University World Championships being held in Kaunas Lithuania, August 19th - 26th.

This event is completely self funded and I would appreciate any assistance in the form of sponsorship or donations to help make this opportunity a reality.

I am a 20 year old student studying Mechanical Engineering at RMIT University, where I am a member of RMIT Elite Athletes Program (REAP).

My journey in the sport of Modern Pentathlon began in 2018 and I have been fortunate to represent Victoria nationally and Australia internationally on multiple occasions in both Modern Pentathlon.

Modern Pentathlon is an exciting multi sport consisting of Epee Fencing, Swimming, Showjumping, Obstacles, Running and Shooting. As I am sure you can imagine it is a very heavy training load with such a diverse range of sports.

The 2024 FISU Modern Pentathlon World Championships is featuring an exciting new format of Laser run and Obstacle. I am really keen to try this format out having recently returned for the Laser Run World Championships in China where I finished 16th individually and 9th in the mixed relay.

My big dream is to represent Australia in the Modern Pentathlon event at the LA Olympics in 2028. International competition is a key component to make working towards this a dream a reality.
