Lenny started baseball at Braves Baseball Club in WA at 8 years old. It quickly became his favourite sport. He has played charter baseball, represented Western Australia at the Australian Youth Championships U16s, twice and State School Boys U18s. After receiving the Heart of a Champion trophy at the DUWC in July 2022 he travelled to Florida with the u14s Aussie Waves and was awarded the team MVP for this tour and afterwards was named in the Perfect Game tournament team.
In October 2023, Len was presented with a state league playing top at 14 for his home club Braves Baseball club, one of his proudest moments. And they also just won the 23/24 State League title!
At the AYC in January 2023, Lenny was awarded the Golden Glove for the National tournament. Lenny was offered a position in the BWA high performance 'Heat Futures' program. At the 2024 AYC, Lenny was the only player in the U16s group to hit an over-the-fence home run. In September 2023, Lenny attended the Australian Institute of Sport as part of the Australia U16s baseball squad.
This fundraiser is being held because Lenny has been selected to represent Australia in the 2024 U16s Perfect Game World Series in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lenny has high aspirations, but these opportunities come with a price. Any help that can be given toward Lenny's travel expenditures to the United States to represent Australia in the World Series would be very much appreciated.
Lenny is a dedicated, modest, and ambitious young athlete who seizes every opportunity that arises. As Lenny's parents, we wish to keep encouraging him to pursue his baseball goals.
Thank you so much!
Gus and Kelly Golding
