At the Leongatha Town Cricket Club we have approximately 31 junior players across 3 age groups in a small country town that has 4 cricket clubs. Junior players are very hard to come by and if we could minimise the cost of players shirts, which we currently supply, we could drop the cost of playing subscriptions and potentially add more players. Our junior program has been quite strong and we would love to be able to continue this, but with other sports and activities for kids so readily available, numbers are dropping. The last thing the club wants is to not have junior player in their right age groups if we keep having a decline in numbers.

Our playing surface has been the envy of the competition and area for a while now, but with our mower ageing and needing constant repairs, it’s time to upgrade and not break the bank. Our facilities are on a school property which we rent from them. It’s a large area which needs a lot of volunteer time to keep neat and tidy (for the school and us) and a new mower would be amazingly beneficial to keep everything well maintained.
