Hello, my name is Lleyton and I am a Goal Keeper and I live for soccer. I have been playing soccer in my small country town of Mildura since I was 6 years old for Mildura City. When I was 13, I was first selected to represent the Victoria Country State Team in the TIDC State Championships in Melbourne. This involved many long 12-hour drives to and from Melbourne for training and games throughout the year by my loving, supportive parents. I was again selected every year since, only missing the Covid year in 2020. I have played talent identification matches against Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory Youth Teams.
In 2022, I was 16 years old and was selected as first choice Keeper in the Under 18 Sunraysia Representative team for the Country Championships in Geelong. The team won the State Championships beating teams from Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo. In 2023 I was again selected, this time as a 17-year-old. The team won again, beating Albury in the finals.
Living in a rural boarder town allowed me to play in both the Victorian and South Australian State Championships with the Sunraysia Representative team.
As a young boy I have always had the ambition to play professional football as a Goal Keeper. I have recently been offered an amazing opportunity to reach my dreams. The Global Football Academy in the U.K have invited me to join them for a minimum of 6 months to live, train, play as a Professional goal keeper starting in November. I believe I have what it takes, to make it to the top level. I am driven, have resilience, determined to do my best and respectful to others, which will take me a long way towards achieving my dreams and make my local town and country proud.
At present I am completing year 12, studying and fundraising 'like crazy' to help support my parents with the costs associated with me participating in the academy. On weekends I play soccer, work as a waiter, pick and sell oranges and sell my own designed clothing brand. This means I am working hard, whilst ensuring I am at the top of my game.
This amazing experience comes at a cost of $25,000+ with international airfares, passport, accommodation, transport, professional training, food, medical and insurance for 6 months.
The academy would like me as soon as possible, I will complete my last exam on the 3rd of November and aim to fly out on the 6th of November.
I am looking for a hand up not a handout, so I can test myself against the best! Please make a donation!
Knowing I have your support would mean everything and allow me to focus on achieving my dream of becoming a professional Goal Keeper!
I thank you for taking the time to read my page and if you can help me in anyway, I would greatly appreciate it. As every dollar I raise, is one step closer to helping me, fulfil my dreams.
