Hi! My name is Lochie Hadley and I am 12 years old. I have a passion for all things sport and I am excited to have earned a position in the WA Team competing at the Australian Little Athletics Championships this April.

I have been doing athletics at Geraldton Athletics Centre since 2017. My favourite events are Javelin, Shot Put, Discus and the Race Walk. I have competed at every Little Athletics Country Championship event around the state over those 6 years and have brought home many medals for Team Geraldton.

Since I was old enough, I have qualified for state competition at the Athletics West State Track & Field Championships. Unfortunately 2020 was cancelled because of COVID, but in 2021, 2022 and 2023, I competed against the best athletes in WA in all of my favourite events. Last month on the 19^th of March, I earned my first state medal, bringing home Bronze in the 1500m Race Walk.

I have recently earned a position in the WA Team and am set to represent our wonderful state in the Australian Little Athletics Championships. I will be travelling to Melbourne with the WA Team and will be competing in the 1500m Race Walk (U13) at Lakeside Athletics Stadium.

I am also excited to be visiting the MCG and Australian Sports Museum with our Team, as it is an awesome opportunity to see where hard work and determination can take me in sports.
