Lottie was first introduced to Futsal in 2020. Being an indoor sport, it was perfect for her as she has a multitude of allergies! Not being an overly confident teen, Futsal has really helped Lottie get involved and start growing, both in her confidence and as an athlete!

In 2021, she was successful in the try outs for the National School trials where she was selected to join the South West Highlander Futsal Team. She hadn’t met any of her teammates before and they had little preparation together for the fierce competition in Brisbane. Lottie loved it! 

In 2022 Lottie was asked to join the South West Highlander Academy, which she attended each week to gain more Futsal skills. The growth in her ball skills and coordination has been remarkable, as is her keen attitude to soak up all that she can.

Last month (September 2022) Lottie represented QLD with her South West Team for her 2nd National Schools Titles. Scoring the first team goal of the tournament, they went on to enter the Grand final undefeated!! They came away as runners up with a 3-2 defeat. 

It was from this National Titles that Lottie was selected by the International Selection Panel to travel and play in Brazil in 2023.
