I am a Year 12 student from the Gold Coast who has recently been selected in the Under 19 Men’s Double for the Australian Rowing Team to compete at St Catherine’s, Canada at the World Rowing Championships. I am honoured and excited to have this opportunity to row for Australia. 

My father and grandfather have both rowed for Australia as young men and actually at this same course in St Catherine’s in Canada so it’s very exciting to hopefully follow in their footsteps. 

The costs involved to compete at the World Rowing Championships are required to be covered by the athlete including, relocation costs, accommodation, flights, uniform, entries, registration, equipment hire and other travel related costs. I’ve trained and worked very hard to achieve selection all while finishing my final year of school. My doubles partner and I have been training about 15 sessions a week including on water sessions, gym, ergo and cycling. This hasn’t left very much time for work. I’m so grateful to make the team and I am seeking financial support to assist in the costs associated with representing my country.
