I have been fortunate enough to gain selection to represent Australia at the World University Games being held in China from the 28 July to the 8 August, 2023. I will be competing in the 800m event and hope to be challenging for a medal. During this last season I have improved my PB from 1:50.1 to 1:46.6 and have significantly closed the gap to other 2024 Olympic hopefuls with a bronze medal at the 2023 Australian Track and Field Championships.. The experience of competing on the international stage at the World University Games this year is crucial in my development that will hopefully see me achieve Australian representation at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Being a self-funded athlete, the $6,000 team levy is significant and difficult to manage without the assistance of fund-raising.
