The four courts are in a poor state of repair with major cracks, some deep into the asphalt under the court surface. The only previous work done on the courts was a quick fix on the cracks only, which has lasted less than 10 years. We propose to completely overhaul the courts by removing the current surface, seal the asphalt and applying new surface coatings and re-mark. The courts are used by the Maccabi Tennis Club members on a daily basis after hours during the week and weekends and by Carmel School which uses the courts during schooldays. The two end courts are marked for netball as well as tennis and are used for practice by the Maccabi Netball Club.
Overall by refurbishing the four courts it will encourage more people including juniors to join the Tennis Club and provide a reliable surface for both the Club and School use.
