The World’s largest junior golf event, the US Kids Golf World Championships, North Carolina, USA (A Worldwide Junior Golf organisation and where 1/3 of the PGA players on tour come through as junior golfers) converge onto the Home of American Golf “Pinehurst”. Over 2,000 of the best junior players, from more than 50 countries congregate and compete including one of Bayview Golf Club’s own, junior female golfer- Mackenzie.

2023 last year, Mackenzie qualified and was invited to the US Kids World Championships, see (Netflix - The Short Game). But due to lack of funding, declined the invitation! This year in 2024 Mackenzie qualified again and now needs your help and support to get there. This will be her last opportunity to compete in this championship tournament due to US Kids Golf’s age limit capped at 12 years of age.

Mackenzie’s journey into the world of golf began when she was 4 years old. When she spent 6 months pestering her dad to take her to play Putt Putt (Mini Golf). Her Dad resisted as long as he could before he finally caved in to Mackenzie’s persistence.

She finally got her hands on that golf club that would set her path for the years ahead. She played 18 holes and loved every bit of it so much, that she cried hysterically because she couldn’t play any further – the first signs of being in love with golf! Her desire to play more and more became apparent and soon progressed to taking golf lessons, which she continues to receive to this day….

Fast forward 5 years, age 9, Mackenzie got to experience competition, by competing in her first ever golf tournament. The US Kids Golf Autumn Season Tour comprised of 6 rounds. Mackenzie only played in the last 3 rounds of the tour and managed to finish in 6th place. Not to say the least, her parents thought it was a decent achievement and to display so much passion for the game has not abated since her mini-Putt Putt days!

2020 and 2021 all golf competitions were cancelled due to COVID! Then, in 2022 Mackenzie commenced her golf competition journey with the Australian Age Division Golf (QLD) 9th place, the US Kids Golf Australian Masters, 7th place. By the end of the year at the age of 10, Mackenzie was already playing in adult men’s and women’s competitions!

2 short years later, now a prominent player on the junior circuit, Mackenzie, a 12-year-old, is accelerating her talent with a 9 handicap, and a testament to her dedication. Mackenzie has risen through the US Kids ranks to be the number 1 ranked female player by winning all 2023 – 2024 season tour events. Mackenzie’s path continues to evolve, her aim is to one day (as she likes to tell us) play at Augusta with the best players on the LPGA elite tour.

Mackenzie is asking for your support by a tax- deductible donation for travel $23,900; coaching $800; equipment $600; green fees and registration fees $1,150.

We truly hope you can get behind this extraordinary young talented athlete and extend an invitation for you, regardless of the amount, with your support by pitching in with a tax-deductible donation. Every bit will make a difference!

One of the next generation of up-and-coming golfers on the world stage, one of the best junior players in the world and competing in the presence of golf industry figures while proudly representing Australia, Bayview Golf Club and Shortees Golf Club. Your help will impact her trajectory profoundly!

Thank you so much for your tax- deductible donation and support in spreading the word for Mackenzie.
