Hi. My name is Madi. I live in regional WA with my sister and my dad. I have recently become an accredited coach and have begun operating my own Karate Club as a not for profit to benefit our community. I am also on a pathway to earn my state referee certification so I can become a volunteer for the State. 

 

My sister Ashlee and I have been selected for the second time to represent WA at the 2024 Australian Karate Championships, being held this year in Geelong Victoria.

My Karate journey started over 8 years ago and I have been competing ever since. In 2023 both my sister and I were selected to represent WA at the Australian Karate Championships that were held here in WA, with myself achieving a silver medal in the team event.

With living 135km from the city we already have to spend a lot of time on the road getting to and from State Training, which is a compulsory training that takes places every weekend. We are seeking some financial support to help with the cost of our travel to Vicotria this year, so we thought we would reach out to our community! 

This is an invaluable opportunity for both myself and my sister as it is an amazing feeling to have both of us together for our karate journey
