My name is Marissa Hayes, and I am honoured to once again wear the green and gold on the international stage, following our inaugural appearance in Malaysia at the Asia-Oceania Intercontinental last year. Preparing for this historic event comes with challenges. As a newer sport, Flag football remains a self-funded endeavour, placing a significant financial burden on athletes.
