Established in 2019, the Martha Cove Yacht Squadron (MCYS) was created in response to community feedback to provide a squadron which fosters and promotes inshore and offshore racing, sailing, cruising, events and training activities for its members.

Sport and recreation is a positive past time that builds communities, develops individuals skills and capabilities and often creates a sense of social connectedness that is valued by all.

MCYS Foundation Fund

The MCYS Foundation Fund is the fundraising arm of MCYS and seeks donations to support identified projects for on-water (sailing, cruising, power boat, paddle etc), off-water (education and training programs, social activities) and longer term capital initiatives in line with the MCYS Purpose and Strategic Plan.

MCYS has a responsibility to its members to ensure it remains viable and responsive to member and industry needs. Part of this commitment is to ensure appropriate levels of financial resources remain available for the future growth and development of the club.

The squadron intends to become a strong and visionary organisation into the future that promotes not only the sports and activities of the club but can deliver the best facilities and services for our current and future membership.

By creating the MCYS Foundation Fund, we hope to future proof the squadron and ensure funding is available for projects that will support and promote the on and off water activities of the club to the MCYS membership as well as the broader Martha Cove community.

Donations

Through our fundraising partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, donations to MCYS Foundation Fund are tax deductible.

There are three ways to contribute to the MCYS Foundation Fund:

1. Become a Donor | Make a stand-alone tax-deductible donation of your choosing and directly contribute to the ongoing success of the club.

2. 500 Clipper Club Donor | Donate a tax-deductible amount of $500 or more and you will be recognised and acknowledged as one of MCYS 500 Clipper Club Donors.

3. Join the MCYS First Fleet | Leave a lasting legacy at MCYS by becoming a founding member of the MCYS First Fleet through your donation of $10,000 or more.

All donations made to the MCYS Foundation Fund are tax-deductible, and donors will be acknowledged for their generous contribution.
