Hello, my name is Mitchell Durham. I have been immersed in karate my whole life, having joined the same club my father trained at when he was a young boy. Yoseikan Ryu Karate has been my second home since 2004 and I love the culture that this club prides itself on; honesty, integrity and family. I have been a state representative for 15 years and a part of the Australian national team for 11 years. Since 2017 I have toured the world competing at the highest level in pursuit of becoming a world champion.

Recently I have seen some success on the international stage, solidifying myself as #7 in the world rankings for Male Kumite -75kg. Some achievements worth noting from the past year include:

• Oceania Champion
• Commonwealth Champion
• Karate 1 Series A - Bronze medal
• Karate 1 Premier League - Bronze medal

I am the first Australian to medal as a senior individual at Karate 1 level since 2015 and am eager to continue this momentum for the back half of this year. With your support, I would love the opportunity to continue the journey of competing at the highest level and hopefully be selected to represent Australia at the Senior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

My goal is to become Senior World Champion and to be selected on the Australian Team to represent Australia at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
