About the project

UPDATED 16 November 2018: Generous members of our MLC community have pledged to donate an additional $310,000 to the Aquatic Precinct. This reduces our fundraising target to $690,000. Thank you for your support so far. Lets make it happen for all our girls!

MLC and Christ Church Grammar School are working together to develop a joint Aquatic Precinct. An opportunity to replace MLC's ageing pool and improve our facilities is one we cannot let slip away.

The Precinct will include the existing CCGS 50 metre pool along with a new 40 metre by 25 metre pool on MLC land .

This new pool will be multi purpose. We can use it as a 25 metre lap training pool, an Olympic sized water polo court or two 20 metre by 25 metre water polo courts for training. The CCGS 50 metre pool will be our hub for lessons, training and carnivals. There will also be time for recreational and commercial use of the Aquatic Precinct.

We need your help to ensure that this once in a generation opportunity goes ahead. The College has $300,000 in funding available now. We have reallocated these funds from the proposed refurbishment of our original pool. We are seeking to put in place a further $1 million to "green light" the project.

We are now asking our community to help us in reaching our $1 million target. Every donation will help us move closer to securing this exceptional facility.
