Who am I:

I started my sporting journey as a 5-year-old in BMX racing. I had a successful career for 11 years, achieving 6 National Championships & 4 World Rankings to name a few. I stepped away from BMX as a young adult to explore other sporting passions. This saw me playing Rugby League in the BHP Premiership for 3 years, but ultimately my love of bikes and Olympic aspirations landed me back on two wheels inside a Velodrome.

Let me tell you, the journey was much more challenging than I first anticipated. The transition from BMX to Sprint Cycling has been an exciting yet tough ride. During this period, I have learnt a lot about myself and who I want to be as an athlete. I’m loving this new challenge, my personal growth and the progress I have made over the last 2 ½ years in the sport that I love. In this short time, I have been fortunate enough to represent Australia on 3 occasions as well as hold the current Team Sprint Australian record. I can’t wait to continue on this journey chasing my dreams!

What I want to achieve:

On a personal note, my aim for the coming years is to be selected to represent Australia in the following:

-         World Championships 2024 (Copenhagen) – and ongoing

-         Commonwealth Games 2026

-         Olympic Games 2028 (Los Angeles)

-         Nations Cups 2025 – and ongoing

-         Commonwealth Games 2030

-         Olympic Games 2032 (Brisbane!!)

Whilst being selected for these prestigious events is certainly an achievement in itself, I have greater ambitions. Although representing your country at the Olympics is one thing, bringing home a medal is another and the expectation I place on myself. The dream of being on the world stage, knowing I’ve done the hard work is exciting yet scary. I want nothing more than Australians to be a part of this journey, sharing in my triumphs and losses, knowing they are cheering me on from home keeps me striving to be the best.

As a part of the Women’s Team Sprint, along with my talented teammates I hope to bring the rich history of the Women’s success back into the limelight that it deserves. The likes of Anna Meares, Kaarle McCulloch and Stephanie Morton who built the platform and set the standards that we strive to honour.

How you can support me:

Whilst Queensland Academy of Sport and Australian Cycling continue to support my track endeavours, being a full-time athlete limits my earning capacity.

Currently, I am an unpaid athlete, being supported by my family. This means limited income and funds to assist with travel, specialised training equipment and recovery expenses.

Your support would help me close the gap financially to assist with these ongoing expenses allowing me to fully concentrate on my dreams.
