We are raising funds for the installation of a synthetic grass green at the Mosman Park Bowling Club, replacing an existing grass green.

The Mosman Park Bowling Club was founded in 1925 and today commands arguably one of the best elevated views of the beautiful Swan river with the city of Perth skyline in the distance. While the club has maintained 3 traditional grass greens for its bowling members there is a competitive need to have access to a synthetic playing surface.

The project involves installation of the latest GOLD FLECK SYNTHETIC grass bowling green and automatic reticulation replacing a current grass green. This is deemed the first step in transitioning the Club away from a 3 grass green club; potentially replacing another grass green in 5 years.

The need to transition the club away from 3 grass greens has been evident for many years; with many aspects of grass green management; the cost of maintaining grass greens and the effect of weather on their usage impacting the financial sustainability of the club. The argument for a synthetic surface is clearly evident with a very high percentage of country clubs now fully synthetic and an ever increasing number of clubs in the metro area now having one or more synthetic surface greens.

 The club is seeking Tax Deductible Donations from its members and the local community at large in order to fund the club's contribution to this project.
