MUNIB SMAJIC

Munib Smajic , a talented, young footballer that is working hard to achieve his dreams.

Since he was a toddler, the soccer ball was always his favourite.

He has played soccer for local clubs like Mounties and Marconi since he was 5 years old. His position defending, as centre back.

Munib currently attends Bossley Park High School in year 10 and is part of the Talented Football Program.

His talent and sportsmanship not only recognised by his parents, but also his coaches. He was selected to represent Sydney Metro in the Football NSW Talent Support Program for 3years in a row. It was in 2022 that Munib was named for the NSW state team. Munib was selected in the 2023 NSW State team aswell, the competition will be held in October. Munib has played in Elite matches, played with u18s and also debuted for u20s match this season.

Munib's commitment and hardwork was noticed on the field with many clubs approaching him for 2024 upcoming season. Munib will be training and playing for SYDNEY FC in 2024.

Munib's most recent achievement was being selected to represent his school and NSW in the National All Schools tournament U16s, which was held in Canberra. NSW conceded only 2 goals with Munib playing all 5 games, NSW won this tournament.

On the conclusion of the competition, an U16s Australian Boys All Schools team was selected where Munib was named as part of this squad.

The selected team will be going to UK and Ireland for a tour to compete against schools there in January/Febuary 2024.
