Hello!
I started weightlifting in 2018 after years as a track and field athlete. Considering my first few days in the gym, I certainly didn't expect to end up on the international stage.
My years in track and field (as a sprint hurdler) gave me opportunities to compete at the Oceania Championships. Last year I made my first international as a weightlifter and came away as the U59 2022 Pacific Mini Games and Oceania Champion. I also went on to become the 2022 U59 Australian Champion.
I have been selected to compete for Australia at the 2023 Commonwealth Championships to be held in Delhi, India on the 10-16th of July. This is a fully self-funddc trip and funds raised here will go directly towards flights, accomodation, food and competition fees.
Those of you coming across this are possibly no stranger to the costs involved in sport. My current income allows me to maintain my training by means of memberships, dietician, recovery, physio etc but affording this trip on my own is a stretch.
From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate any donations made to allow me to compete at this event. To everyone that has also supported me (by any means) along my journey, you know who you are and I hope you know how much I appreciate you.
Thank you for your time!
