My name is Natalya Diehm and I am an Australian BMX Freestyle competitor. I am a four time and current National Champion, 2 time and current Oceania Champion, 2019 Vans BMX Pro Cup World Champion. I proudly represented Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games where I placed5th (with a ruptured ACL). I now have my sights set on qualifying and competing on the 31st July, at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

I recently competed at the first event of the 2024 Olympic qualifier series held in Shanghai, China. The second Olympic qualifier event is in Budapest, Hungary 20-23 June.Qualification is earned by a combination of points over the two events or selection by a National Olympic Committee of a qualified country (Australia is a qualified nation)

As a categorised AusCycling athlete, training is a full-time commitment. As well as qualifying for Paris 2024, I have also been invited to compete at X-Games in Ventura California this year, on the 27- 30 of June. This will be the first X-Games in which women have been invited to compete in their own BMX Freestyle event. This is a huge honour, as history is being made. I strongly believe that this will highlight to the younger generation of girls that they can do anything and prove that there is a pathway in this sport to both the Olympics and X Games!

In between training and working part-time, I also love coaching the next generation of BMX Freestyle riders. I am so proud that I have the opportunity to give back to the younger generations and hope that they continue the proud tradition of Freestyle BMX in Australia.

To give myself the best opportunity to be selected for Paris 2024, training 5 days a week consists of a mixture of gym, conditioning sets, on-bike conditioning, on-bike skill acquisition, pre-habituation, and recovery every day. With my training schedule being so intense, I can only work part-time.

If you were to donate, you would be helping me with living and travel expenses over the next 2 busy months (rent, flights, accommodation, food, travel insurance, bike parts etc). Any amount would be greatly appreciated and would help enormously. I am absolutely thrilled to represent my country at the highest level, and with your support, do Australia proud at these peak internation events.

Thank you very, very much
