I am delighted to announce that I have been selected to represent Australia in the inaugural women's box lacrosse World Championship in Utica, New York! This is the first time that women have been included in the World Championship and a trailblazing moment for women's lacrosse.

This is a dream come true and I can't wait to wear the green and gold this September. I am the first woman from my club, Brunswick Lacrosse Club, to represent Australia in lacrosse and am incredibly proud of this achievement.

I found the sport in my late 20s and started playing in 2019. I immediately fell in love with the sport, the speed, agility, and the ability to lose myself in the game. When I had the opportunity to play box lacrosse, a full contact version of lacrosse, I knew this was the sport for me.

Box lacrosse is a physical game, which requires you to be athletic, tough, and smart. I have now participated in two National Championships representing Victoria and have taken home the trophy both years.

I am now working hard to take on the world. This requires time, energy and financial support. The costs associated with sending an athlete to the World Cup is over $13,000.
