Donate today to change the lives of young West Australian girls with intellectual disabilities who want to represent our State in the Marie Little OAM Shield event in Sydney. The Marie Little OAM Shield gives young netballers with intellectual disabilities the unique opportunity to play the game they love at the highest level against the best players in Australia. Netball WA is trying to send our first ever team to represent the State at this amazing event and we need your help to get them there. Marie Little OAM was the founder of Sport Inclusion Australia which aims to increase the sporting and recreational opportunities for all people with an intellectual disability. Sport plays an integral role in the physical and mental well-being of people with disabilities and has positive benefits on social outcomes. Here is your chance to support a wonderful cause and help the team get to Sydney!
Your donation will help the WA team with:
Hire of venue for training leading into the event
Equipment hire such as balls, cones, bibs etc
Donating to the Marie Little Shield will not only help get the team to this years’ championships, but it will also encourage many more aspiring netballers with disabilities to continue to strive for their dream to represent their state in future years.
