My name is Nikolaus, I am 20 years old and a 2nd Dan black belt training with Australian Shukokai Karate for the past 13 years. I have been an athlete in the Victorian State team for 7 years and the Australian National squad for the last 3 years.

I am currently the senior -75kg state champion and the Under 21 -75kg National Champion. I was also selected to represent Australia at the Oceania championships in New Caledonia where I placed second for both the Under 21 and Senior -75kg divisions. It was also a privilege to be a part of the senior men's team event as we brought home the gold for Australia.

I have been selected to represent Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Karate Championships which is the next step in my athletic career. Unfortunately, karate does not receive any funding in Australia and all athletes are required to fund themselves for all State, National and International competitions. Therefore to be able to attend this event and continue advancing in the sport I am trying to raise funds to cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and tournament entry fees which are approximately $4000. Any donation is an enormous help and would be greatly appreciated.
