About the project

North West Hurricanes JRLC (www.hurricanesjrlc.com.au) is part of the Parramatta District Convents Rugby League Association. We play out of Cornucopia Reserve, Cantwell Street Glenwood on a Sunday Morning.

Formed in 2002, the North West Hurricanes JRLC are growing stronger than ever in 2019 with teams starting from Under 6's through to Under 11's

We’re a small, tight knit club with all our parents and players of which we have built upon our strong family culture. We aren’t a big club where you may get lost or seem like a number, we care and look out for each other across all the age groups and we welcome all new players, parents, families and friends always. WE AREN’T JUST A CLUB, WE’RE A FAMILY!

This year, our end aim is for a minimum of 8 sides across the age groups. We are also hopeful of recruiting more girls into our sport. If we can get enough girls in one age group we will look at creating the first ever all girls team. A first for our club, and a first for our competition.

Our U6's & U7's play a new style of introductory league called Micro Footy. U8's & U9s play mini league and U10's & U11's play modified league. Kids from the age of 4.5 years old to 11 years old (in 2018) can play in our competition. We need funds to supply much needed equipment , and uniforms, this will make a big impact to all players ,

With a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, fair play and safety, girls and boys are given the opportunity to develop their sporting skills and their confidence.

The Hurricanes coaching & training staff are accredited in either Level 1 or Level 2 coaching. Training nights are also held at Cornucopia Reserve in Glenwood (primarily on a Wednesday evening for all teams, older teams may train a second night a week)

Stay up to date with everything happening at the sports foundation
