I am raising funds for the Norwood International High School Rowing Club through our Endurance Challenge. My name is Sophia Adler and I have been a part of the rowing club for 4 years. The Endurance Challenge is one of our club's largest fundraising methods each year and in 2023 it has two elements. The 4-hour ergo rely is a gruelling test of determination, perseverance and teamwork, where 100+ rowers will take on the challenge in teams of 6-8. We must develop a plan to row the furthers possible distance within the 4 hours and grit our teeth through short high-intensity rotations and lighting fast changes. As a senior rower I will be taking the Endurance Challenge a step further through the Norwood Long Row, a 132km journey down the Murray River from Blanchetown to Mannum.
