The NSW Sports Federation Inc. operates under the name Sport NSW and is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with the purpose to represent and support the sport industry in order to encourage and assist more people in New South Wales to enjoy the immense benefits that sport can provide for individuals and communities.

As the peak body for sport in the state, Sport NSW plays a key role supporting the industry and strives to assist in the building of capacity, performance and recognition of member organisations, their affiliates and individuals to help maximise potential and enhance the quality of experience for participants and volunteers engaged in sport in NSW. This is done through a range of events, activities and professional development programs.
