In the AV State Shield Finals at Lakeside on Saturday 23rd February, an outstanding U20 Premiership capped off a long and exciting summer. Our Open team finishes a creditable 4th and our U16 team 6th.

This is our best club performance for well over 10 years.

It is fantastic to see the enthusiasm of the group and to see their enjoyment in competing.

The supportive team spirit is a credit to all involved. The emphasis has been on participation and earning points for the team. Individual and team performances, as we have seen follows.

Gregor Evans and David Lightfoot have spent many hours coaching and encouraging our athletes. They have been a catalyst for our revival. We also have a supportive group of parents which makes such a difference.

Another catalyst has been our ability to support our athletes financially to attend National and International events. Last year this amounted to over $5000.

This year we are seeking $6000.

The club is building a reputation as being an enjoyable and supportive club for both male and female athletes.
