Goal

$50,000.00

Orroroo Bowls Club plans to replace the synthetic turf which is worn out from the harsh environment and water damage over the years.
We also aim to improve the tried infrastructure and reduce community fatigue.
By replacing the turf with a cost saving and durable new Synthetic Bowling Green turf.
This we hope will eliminate working bee's the day before each event,
With the stress of the drought over the past 4 years many community members have found it hard to be active and socialise. We need to maintain this facility.
The Orroroo Bowls club has been a huge part of inclusion, a meeting place and where a comfortable sense of community is made.

Our volunteers will be involved in the following part of the project
☐ Clear all areas around the green ready for project
☐ Dirt removal with bobcat Orroroo Carrieton District council
☐ Financial agreements finalised and transferred
☐ Organise all the plumbing/ drainage
☐ Member meetings held for the planning process
☐ site to be ready
☐ clear around the turf
☐ meetings held with turf to commence project
☐ commence the project

The turf business will provide the following service
• Uplift existing surface, remove from site.
• Excavation to a nominal depth of 30mm. (If the club would have someone who could take the spoil at then this could save some money.)
• Utilise existing ditch walls.
• Use existing base drainage.
• Use existing plinths for the Supergreen option.
• Supply, place and level new crushed rock base to a nominal depth of 30mm.
• Supply and install Supergreen surface (no underlay).
• New ditch dropper grass to be supplied and installed on top of and down the ditch walls around the green.
• New ditch grass to be installed around the green.
• Freight to site, project management, clean site of Turf materials.

These facilities have become an essential part of the communities personal health and wellness.

The expected project outcomes will be a new and improved synthetic turf.

This worthy project will involve these individuals and provide a facility which is sustainable and will maintain an integral part of our community.
Withholding a legacy of the Orroroo bowling club which was established in 1937. This loyally supports and enhances our local heritage and culture.

Replace existing old synthetic turf green with new designed synthetic grass this has been in the budget for over 5 years. The outcome will eliminate the economic stress on the club management, the club will proud of its achievements and whom have done exceptionally well in raising up to $80,000 for this project.

We will then meet the budget goals of replacing the turf and will reduce volunteers fatigued.

We are a resilient community that is always looking to sustain our future, share our knowledge and maintain a positive environments.
Moving forward this will increase community morale, support important facility structure and bring a vibrant energy back into the club.
