In January this year, my younger brother and sister and I represented NSW and competed at Nationals for the Australian Ninja Games (ANG), for our age groups - Nationals was held at Urban Xtreme, Brisbane, QLD. This national competition involved a Ninja Warrior style course, where each competitor had a total of three minutes to complete as many obstacles as possible (of 12 obstacles) and with no more than 3 failed obstacles, on Course 1.

The competitors who placed in the Top 10 of Course 1, were given a second course to engage their ninja ability. The top 5 competitors of Course 2 earnt qualification to compete at what ninja athletes term, WORLDS...

I actually placed 5th, for then, the 13yrs males.

Since learning of this qualification, we have discovered that there are a total of five Championship events run at WORLDS.

This year, this International event is titled:

'Obstacle Sports Expo' and is taking place in Orlando, Florida (USA).

Wednesday, 26th - Sunday, 30th July, 2023 - Orange County Convention Center

The five events include:

Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) World Series Finals

Federation of International Ninja Athletics (FINA) World Series Finals

- Speed course

- Endurance course

Ninja World Cup USA - 100m Speed competition where Ninja vs Ninja

World Ninja Athlete Games (WNAG)

Ultimate 3km OCR (Obstacle Course Racing)

I am able to enter the 'Ultimate 3km OCR' this year, without needing qualification and as recently as Saturday, 3rd June, I qualified for WORLDS in both the FINA 'Speed' and 'Endurance' courses (Placing 1st in the Speed course and 2nd in the Endurance course). Very exciting.

Please consider making a donation towards my:

  • Actual trip to the USA (Airfares, accommodation, training gyms and Insurance)
  • Preparation and training (Three classes per week, practice tournaments and travel/entry fees for these)
  • Event entry fees in the USA and/or
  • Home-rig adaptions and obstacle additions

"Any amount will be appreciated".

If you are not in a position to give anything financially, I understand. Could you at least consider praying over my fund-raising, my preparation, my trip and my safety as I train?

Thanks in advance for considering this. Josh :-) Instagram: @chowny.1
