Overport Park Pavilion Redevelopment

Overport Park Pavilion Redevelopment

Raised

$40,667.00

Goal

$250,000.00

The original pavilion at Overport Park reached its use by date many years ago, following continued growth of the Baden Powell Cricket Club and Frankston Dolphins Junior Football Club, and with the recent formation of the Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club, and the boom in girls and women's football.

Fortunately, funding was obtained from Federal, State and Local governments, allowing construction to commence in late 2018 on a new $3.825 million, state of the art facility.

The new pavilion will include four female-friendly change rooms, umpire change rooms, a new kitchen and kiosk, a multi-purpose community room and meeting room, along with office space and first aid facilities. The upgrade will also include new public toilets.

However, the fundraising needs of the 3 tenant clubs doesn't stop there. The clubs were required to contribute a combined $100,000 toward the construction of the facility, with those funds coming from general operating funds. Further to this, the clubs were required to fit out the pavilion upon completion - this includes a commercial kitchen, general kitchen and bar equipment, electrical equipment (TV's and sound system), tables and chairs.....the list goes on.

We now seek support from our members, friends and the local community to contribute toward this exciting development. To do this, we have established the Overport Park Redevelopment Foundation, and through our fundraising partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), donations are tax deductible! Established in 1986 by the Federal Government, the ASF has been the vehicle for many sporting clubs to gain financial freedom and has since helped sporting clubs and organisations like ours raise over $400 million.

The aim of the Overport Park Redevelopment Foundation is to raise $250,000. This will allow us to complete the pavilion at a very high standard, creating a wonderful community asset for generations to come.

Donors will be recognised on a 'Foundation Wall' in the new pavilion, with levels of support set at:

Diamond: $10,000

Emerald: $7,500

Gold: $5,000

Sapphire: $2,500

Silver: $1,000

Bronze: $500

Dolphins: $250

You can become part of the Foundation Wall by making a tax-deductible donation by clicking on the DONATE button above (payment plans available).

Upon completion of the Pavilion a grand opening and launch night will be held, with attendance strictly limited to those who have contributed $500 or more to the Foundation.

This is your opportunity to contribute to a wonderful community asset, and have your involvement recognised for future generations to see.
