About Parkville District Cricket Club

The Parkville District Cricket Club Foundation is the official fundraising body of the Parkville District Cricket Club (PDCC). The aim of this program is to support and assist the development of the club and its members, and enhance the sustainability of the club into the future.

PDCC currently fields five mens turf teams in the Mercantile Cricket Association. The club's main purpose is to provide the facilities, equipment, programs and environment for our members to participate in turf cricket competition, but the club achieves much more.

In addition to running a highly competitive and successful cricketing program in a safe and inclusive environment, PDCC provides enhanced opportunity for disadvantaged members to participate in cricket through subsidised memberships, and has even sponsored places for members of Melbourne's community awaiting asylum to play cricket. The club acts as a social hub during the Melbourne summer; through the close ties formed at the club, members often maintain contact through the winter months - and many former players remain in touch with each other, and the club, well beyond their playing days.

This fundraising program will benefit the club and its members through improving our ability to fund our activities, including providing cricket coaching and equipment to enhance the skills and abilities of our playing members, and enabling the participation of individuals who might otherwise not get the opportunity to play.
