The sport of surfboat rowing is quintessentially Australian; born out of the ANZAC tradition. Facing the elements and trusting your crew members to do their part in successfully conquering whatever conditions you are faced with is how you win. Building relationships and showing young people what high levels of commitment, reliability and good communication can achieve is what sets this sport apart!

Tasmania has had a strong history of success in national competition but this has waned somewhat over the past decade and we are determined to revive interest in this sport at a local level, give opportunities for all participants to strive for excellence and thrive in the competitive environment and, consequently, be retained in our surf life saving fraternity.....providing years of service to their community and staying fit and healthy!
