The Perth African Nations Sports Association (PANSA) is a leading non-profit in Western Australia for African-Australians that is dedicated to breaking down barriers and providing life opportunities through the medium of sport. 

PANSA and its predecessor has worked since 2008 to provide opportunities for engagement to existing and new migrants from African nations transitioning into their new home in Western Australia.  

The Make Smoking History Perth African Nations Cup (PAN Cup) is the only of its kind in Western Australia owned and driven by the community it supports. It is the pinnacle of multicultural sport in WA with unmatched attendance and participation rates, while fostering positive individual and community development. Football, the sport in the PAN Cup has shown to be the primary team sport selected by African communities in Australia and we seek to support the desires, ambitions and journeys of the fans and players.

Our participants, primarily from marginalised backgrounds, are resilient individuals with unique experiences. Despite facing socio-economic, cultural, and social barriers, they demonstrate a strong commitment to engaging in sporting communities. Our Annual Program recognises and celebrates their strength and potential, sharing the outcomes with the community through a maintained long-term, community-informed approach.

The cost to enter a team to cover these overheads has proven to be a barrier or deterrent for community groups with limited resources.

We are about excellent outcomes and service. We will direct donations towards subsidizing these costs for the teams and injecting any surplus funds back to the betterment of the event.
