Phoenix is aiming for an Olympic Wild Card enrty for Milano 2026.
In order for this to be a possibility, Phoenix must earn quota points in IBU competitions between November 2025 and mid January 2026 as part of the Olympic qualifying period. Phoenix has met the AOC individual qualifying points during his 24/25 season, which resulted in a wild card entry to the (open) World Championships earlier this year.
in 2025, Phoenix plans to undertake intensive training and competition with the Holmenkollen Biathlon Team in Oslo. This is a huge honour to be included in the team, but does mean he needs to move to Norway!
Phoenix will compete in Norwegion national races, IBU Cups, and hopefully a World Cup start this season. Phoenix is currently Australia's top ranked IBU male athlete. He will need at least 2 excellent results early season to be in the position to be eligible for an Olympic wild card for Milano Cortina.
Phoenix is a tenacious competitor and excels when the conditions are tough.
2025 will be Phoenix's fifth European season and he is excited to be training with some of the worlds top coaches to be his best!
Please consider a TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation to help Phoenix achieve his goals!
Phoenix is also open to discuss sponsorship options if your business would like to help in a bigger way.
