My name is Rebecca Mathers, I am a para-athlete in the F20 category, and have been selected to represent Australia.
I have been selected to compete in the Virtus Global Games in France. The Virtus Global Games is the largest sporting competition in the world for athletes with an intellectual impairment.
I am training at least two hours a day, five days a week whilst working in child care.
I have been selected after qualifying at the Oceania Asia Games in November 2022 and my performance at the recently held Athletics Australia National Championships.
The cost to attend the Global Games is fully self-funded and the cost is $8,000.
I am trying to raise funds to help me get to this competition and any donation would be appreciated.
