In September 2023 UQAFC received conditional approval for the installation of two permanent interchange benches (with elevated coaches platforms) and a permanent filming platform at our home ground, Base Architecture Meadows (Playing Field 2 @ UQ St Lucia). These infrastructure developments are required in order for UQAFC to meet the minimum standards for participation in the QAFLW (women's) and QFA Division 1 (men's); failure to have a plan in place for these structures within the next 12 months may see UQAFC lose our license to participate in these competitions.

With conditional approval granted by UQ, it is now up to UQAFC to raise the funding required for the project. Through the generosity of sponsor Bruin Builders we now have a supplier prepared to undertake the works at cost, for which a number of grant applications have been submitted. We are therefore now seeking $30,000 in additional funding as the current grant application requires applicants to provide a 20pc co-payment toward their project.
