Revolve ReCYCLING strongly believes that bikes and personal mobility can help communities become fairer and happier places. It’s why we’re committed to what we call “bike equity” through our actions.

Bicycle equity recognises that everyone can benefit from having an riding a bike – whether commuting, having fun, competing or exercising. Bicycle equity accepts that due to a variety of circumstances, people may not be able to access a bicycle that suits them, their abilities and their local conditions.

Donate just $80 (or an amount of your choice) to help deliver a bike to a child in need – a First Nations child, a refugee, a child with a disability, or from a disadvantaged background.

$80 covers the transport cost of collecting and delivering the bike, the cost of parts used to restore and repair the bike, the cost to support and train the volunteers, utilities, storage and other associated costs.

Your donation of whatever you can manage will mean even more bikes donated to kids in need, in 2024

THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS WHO RECENTLY HELPED DELIVER BIKES TO KIDS IN REMOTE COMMUNITIES

Children in remote Australian indigenous communities have had no or very limited access to bikes, and the communities lack the infrastructure to maintain them.

For that reason, Sienna and Guido of Revolve ReCYCLING recently embarked on an epic roadtrip from Sydney to some of the most remote corners of Australia and back again.

They returned to Sydney after 14 days on the road, 11,000km traveled and, most importantly, 111 quality secondhand and refurbished bikes and scooters delivered to kids in need.

That includes specially modified BMX bikes delivered to children across 7 remote indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.

They also delivered the tools required to service and maintain the bikes, and help facilitate workshops in bike maintenance and repair.

Revolve ReCYCLING's objective is to establish bike programs for kids in need based on the idea of "bike equity" - collecting bikes from where they are no longer needed or wanted, to children who do need and want them. These programs will be managed by local Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in partnership with services and schools working on education, employment, and self-determination.

Help us build our ‘bike equity’ program, and build the capacity to collect, restore and donate more bikes to kids in need – please donate now
