Rylee Perfect was diagnosed in 2018 with a rare genetic condition called LHON (Lebers Hereditary Optic Neuropathy). LHON is an optical nerve disorder that can suddenly cause loss of central vision. This is a very rare condition affecting 1 in 50,000 people.

Rylee has been involved in soccer and futsal since the age of 6, he had to stop playing when he was first diagnosed at the of 22, it has been a long road back to being able to play a sport that has been an integral part of his life for so long. Rylee's persistence has finally paid off, with the announcement of his inclusion in the National Partially Sighted Futsal Team with a training camp to be held in Adelaide in late September and the Championships to be held in January on the Gold Coast, with the possibility of further international tours in the near future.

As this is all self-funded we are seeking all the help we can get at this stage we have the costs of the camp and the championships in January, along with the fact Rylee requires a companion to travel with him.
