Sam travels to Sydney from regional NSW every week to train and to play hockey with experienced and up and coming young players like himself. He is committed to training and maintaining peak physical and mental fitness. The cost of this on a weekly basis is extraordinary and when that is added to the cost of tournaments it becomes extremely difficult to manage.
