Sarah has been playing soccer for over 6 years now, working her way through the ranks from Club membership with Harristown Hawks to being selected for the Southwest Queensland (SWQ) Under 16s Thunder Team in 2022 who managed to win the minor premiership in 2022. Sarah remains a member of the U17 Thunder team for 2023.

Sarah’s Futsal journey only began last year in a school competition but quickly skyrocketed this year when she was selected to represent Southwest Queensland at the National Club Championship competition in Sydney last month where the team made the semi-finals. More recently, she has also been invited onto the SWQ Highlanders Futsal team to play in the upcoming State Futsal Championships over Easter.

Due to Sarah’s outstanding performance at the 2023 National Futsal Championships, her wonderful display at the tournament was duly recognised by national selectors and Sarah has been invited to join the Australian Representative Futsal Team.

THE ASK

The levy set by Futsal Australia for Sarah’s participation in the tour is $6,400. Any contribution towards this cost would be greatly appreciated.

COSTA BLANCA FUTSAL CUP

From Nationals, the Australian 11-12 Girls, 13-14 Girls, 16 Girls and 19 Women were selected to join the Australian Contingent travelling to Spain for the Costa Blanca Cup. Teams will depart Australia, have some time to train and sightsee around Barcelona, prior to transferring to Benidorm to compete at the tournament. The tournament will take place in Benidorm, Spain. Benidorm is approximately an hour and a half from Valencia. Set on the Mediterranean coastline of Alicante, the city is a tourist destination. Teams from across Europe will take part in the tournament.
