Aspire Senior Group: Road to Paris 2024
Your donation is supporting Saskia Broedelet
Hi! We are the Aspire Rhythmic Gymnastics Senior Group, a team of 6 young women aged 16-23 preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics. We are Lidiia Iakovleva OLY, Saskia Broedelet, Phoebe Learmont, Emmanouela Frroku, Jess Weintraub and Alexandra Eedle.
Since we all transitioned from individuals to a group in 2022, we have achieved great success and gained numerous accolades! These include state championships titles, national championships and international gold and silver medals, participation at World Challenge Cups, Grand Prix and World Cups. Most recently, our team qualified for the Oceania Championships in Budapest by winning the Sofia Cup (Bulgaria), making us the highest ranked Australian group. In Budapest, we won the Oceania title and as a result, Australia's quota for the Paris Olympics.
This will be the second time Australia has had a Rhythmic Gymnastics group at an Olympic Games, and we hope to redefine the possibilities for Australian Rhythmic Gymnastics and raise our international standings.
Why we've set up an ASF fundraiser
Rhythmic gymnastics is a financially demanding sport and unfortunately all the costs of our ongoing training including coaching, apparatus, leotards, equipment, physiotherapy, competitions and travel are entirely self funded by ourselves and our families. This puts immense financial pressure on families to keep going.
Between now and 9 August, we need to raise funds to cover expenses associated with our Olympic preparations, including training, equipment, coaching and recovery costs, among others.
We have all had the dream of competing at the Olympics Games from the very start of our gymnastics careers, most of us started around the age of 5, and this is your chance to help us reach our potential in Paris!
We would be so grateful for any support, no matter the size! Thank you!
Lidiia, Saskia, Phoebe, Jess, Emma and Alex ❤️
Saskia is very excited to be part of the Aussie Athlete Fund’s $1M Challenge, powered by Ampol and proud to be partnered with Women in Digital and Cisco.
