I am 14 years old and have been selected to compete at the 2024 Commonwealth Karate Championship in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am a student at Corinda State High School and a proud part of their Elite Athlete Program. Privately, I train with my amazing club Kansai Karate and am immensely proud of both my school and my club.
Starting at 4 years of age, I have been practicing Karate for over 10 years. I have competed at a national level since I was seven and this will be my first international competition, where I will be proud to represent my country and my community.
I currently train over 15 hours a week and dedicate all my spare time to the martial art I love. It teaches me discipline, self-confidence and most importantly, brings me joy.
My goal is to compete at the WKF World Karate Competition, being the highest level of karate competition in the world. Competing at the Commonwealth Championship is my first international step to achieving this goal and I would appreciate any contribution that could be made.
