Hello,

My name is Sean Bergsma. I am 13 years old and play Diamond sports. I have recently been selected as a member of the travelling squad for the 2023 Easter Classic in New Zealand for Softball Australia!

I am so excited to compete at my first International Competition representing Softball Australia!

Travelling from Western Australia to compete overseas really adds up especially when funding is limited. My mum helps out as much as possible but being a single parent of 2 teenage boys makes this hard. I have 1 brother who is Special needs and this takes most of mums money.

I started to play Diamond sports to have some time for myself. I first played Teeball in 2017 and I now play softball and baseball. In this time, I have played State Championships in Teeball as well as Softball. I have also played Charter Baseball. I am Playing in the BatCave Junior Softball Championships for Rockingham on the long weekend in March.

The travelling squad will be flying to Auckland on Wednesday 5th April from Perth and then returning back to Perth on Monday 10th April 2023.

If you can contribute any support to help me achieve my dream of representing my country it would be amazing! I would use the money to pay for my trip to New Zealand.
