With over 20 years continuous competition in all domestic levels of athletics, the time has finally come that I will be representing Australia at the upcoming World Masters Championships held in Sweden this August.

I am entered to compete in 4 individual events as well as the throws pentathlon over the 2 week long championships in Gothenburg.

Throughout all my years of competition, I have won numerous medals across state and national competitions at junior, senior and now masters level. I hold state and national indoor/ outdoor records for masters athletics. Yet the opportunity to represent Australia on the world stage will be the pinnacle of my athletic career to date and an opportunity I would never have imagined for most of my career.

Not to be a one trick pony, as well as my current state and national titles in masters athletics, I hold state titles for both highland games and masters weightlifting in my age/weight class.

As a secondary sport and hobby, I don't know when I may have another chance to compete at a highland games in Scotland, which is why I've added 2 weeks onto my competition tour. This obviously brings additional costs, but the rewards will be immense as part of my journey across the globe.
