Hello,

My name is Skye and I am a 26 year old athlete living in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.

I have been training and competing in Equestrian Vaulting since the age of 5 including at numerous State and National Championships. In 2019 I took the next leap and travelled to Europe to compete internationally. Like with everyone, COVID threw a spanner in my plans and I had to take a break from international competitions whilst travel was banned. In April 2023 I was able to get back over to Europe to compete again. After a very successful and inspiring trip I have set my next goal being the World Vaulting Championships in 2024.

This is by no means an easy goal but I am determined to put in the hard work to achieve this. It is, of course, a pricey venture with coaching costs, travel expenses, competition fees, and the purchase of training equipment.

This is all self-funded as there isn't the possibility of financial support from Equestrian Australia due to the size of the sport in Australia.
