Support Queensland’s Only National Wheelchair Basketball Teams

At Southern Districts Basketball Association, we are immensely proud to have entered two teams, Spartans and Titans, into the 2025 National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL)—a monumental achievement that not only provides elite athletes with disabilities the chance to compete at the highest level but also makes history as the first club to ever field two teams in the league. As Queensland’s only representative, we are dedicated to ensuring our athletes have the opportunity to chase their dreams, showcase their talents, and inspire the next generation of wheelchair basketball players.

But competing at this level comes with significant financial challenges. Our athletes, who already dedicate themselves to training and competition, work tirelessly to fundraise for their own travel, accommodation, and competition costs, while the Club does everything possible to cover league nomination fees and national travel expenses. Despite their relentless passion and commitment, the financial burden remains a constant struggle.
