About the project

At the young age of 18, Maggie has already achieved a reputation as a determined and dedicated athlete who has never taken her abilities for granted. She has excelled in rowing and now at the invitation of Paratriathlon Australia, has made the switch and is striving for selection in the 2022 Olympic cycle ahead.

A young ambassador for those with disabilities Maggie has Usher Syndrome Type 1C. She is profoundly deaf, has no balance organs and is losing her vision with retinitis pigmentosa. She is classified Paratriathlon Vision Impaired-PTVI. Maggie loves sports and has been involved in a team or individual sport from Prep. Born in Shepparton, which she calls home, Maggie is now looking to utilise her successful Year 12 achievements at University in 2021 and needs your help to purchase the specialised equipment for Paratriathlon. The Racing Tandem Bike quote is upwards of $14000. Maggie is in full training mode with February events in Newcastle and Devonport successfully competed! She came second to the World Champion and our Olympic Gold Medallist.
