About the project

Swan Suburbs was formed in 2012 from Midland Hills Rugby

We have put together this opportunity for kids from 3 to 12 to play rugby and train for free . This includes participation fees , insurance plus City of Swan oval usage as well as a free polo.

We saw a need in the community for families to be able to have their children involved in team sports when they possibly couldnt afford it . While there are some programs such as kidsport in place not all families can access these and more often families have to choose to pay bills and for food rather than "luxury" activities such as sport .

It is wellknown the advantages to kids in being active , part of a team and club and we wanted to provide that opportunity to kids in our area.

We have over 100 members and through our play for free program 80 of these are juniors. We have a senior mens team , baby swans 3 to 5 years training program , U7s , U9s , U11s and a Girls 7s U16s .

Without community support a lot of these kids wouldnt be able to participate in sport and it with much credit to a few local businesses that we are able to make it happen . We also have a very hardworking and dedicated committee that is behind the program one hundred percent and believe that involving kids in sport is important for their future.

Stay up to date with everything happening at the sports foundation
